Late Goldcoast Dickson: Group Pays Condolence Visit, Commiserates With Dickson Family …Chief of Staff Says, She was a Rare Gem, Quintessential Woman

The Chief of Staff, Government House, Yenagoa, Rt. Hon. Talford Ongolo has eulogized Governor Seriake Dickson’s mother, Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson, describing her as a rare gem, selfless and quintessential woman, whose legacies will continue to be remembered.

Rt. Hon. Ongolo, who stated this while addressing a socio-political organization, Restoration Sustainable Support Group, RSSG, at Government House, Yenagoa, said late Mrs. Goldcaost Dickson gave her children the best upbringing, which is evident in Governor Dickson’s selfless service to the state and nation.

The Chief of Staff, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown, noted that, the governor shared an uncommon bond, love and affection with his late mother and urged the group to pray for the governor and every member of his family for God to strengthen and give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

While expressing appreciation to the group for identifying with the Dickson family in their time of grief, Rt. Hon Ongolo advised all to live lives worthy of emulation, so, as to leave positive legacies as late Mrs. Goldcoast Dickson has done.


In his words: “As Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff, we work closely with the governor, we are also members of his household, so we know what Mama meant to him. They shared an uncommon bond with love and affection and at this time he needs our prayers.”

Earlier, Chairman of the Restoration Sustainable Support Group, RSSG, Mr. Olorogun Agomo in an emotion laden voice commiserated with Governor Dickson over the death of his mother, stressing that, she was an exceptional woman and mother to all.

While praying for the repose of her soul, Mr. Olorogun encouraged the governor to take solace in the belief that, his mother has gone to join the almighty God in heaven, noting that, the group is standing with the governor in his hour of grief.


The Group had embarked on a procession through some of the streets of Yenagoa, the state capital, before terminating at the Government House.
