Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson has attributed the peaceful conduct of the 2015 general elections in the State to his administration’s massive investment in the security sub sector.
Giving his impression on the conduct of the rescheduled State Assembly polls in 8 constituencies, in an interview with newsmen after casting his vote in Toru Orua, Sagbama local government of the state, he adjudged the electoral process as free, fair and credible.

Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson on Wednesday presented a cheque of N100 million to the State Scholarships Board for the payment of bursary allowances to students of the state origin in higher institutions of learning across the country.

Addressing the leadership of the National Union of Bayelsa State Students in Government House, Yenagoa, Governor Dickson explained that, the presentation of the cheque was in keeping with an earlier promise he made during his visit to Amassoma, the community hosting the Niger Delta University.

Governor Seriake Dickson dropped the hint in a live programme in Yenagoa, the state capital. He said some successes have been recorded in the rural electrification drive as communities such as Amassoma, Agbere as well as Famgbe and other communities in the outskirts of Yenagoa are now enjoying power.
