Reverend Obegha Oworibo - Head of Service, Bayelsa State
Rev. Obegha Julius Oworibo was born 53 years ago into the family of Mr and Mrs Oworibo who hails from Okpoama town in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
He started his early education at St. Pauls primary school, Okpoama present day Bayelsa State from January 1964 to December 1970, and had his secondary school education at Abbot Boy’s High School Ihiala, Abia State from January 1971 to march 1974 and Nembe National Grammar School, Nembe Bayelsa State where he sat for his west Africa Examination Certificate in May/June 1975. He then proceeded to the college of science and technology, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State for his basic studies programme. He later attended University of Lagos from September 1980 to June 1983 where he obtained his first degree in political science. He also holds a post graduate diploma in public administration from the University of Calaber, Cross Rivers State.
An alumnus of the Prestigious National Institute for policy and strategic studies, Kuru Jos, Plateau State and London Business School. Rev. Oworibo has undergone various courses both in Nigeria and abroad.
A member of the Charted Institute of Personal Management of Nigeria, and the Common Wealth Association for Public Administration and Management. Rev. Oworibo has served his father land in various administrative and Managerial Capacity, as a result, has the following honours to his credit:
1. 1983/84 Kano State NYSC Merit Award in recognition of outstanding performance through distinguished hard work and exemplary character.
2. Bayelsa State Government Productive Merit Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the development of Bayelsa State as a permanent secretary (2003).
3. Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bayelsa State chapter honour in recognition for being the most outstanding Christian civil servant in the state (2006).
4. Invested as justice of peace, Bayelsa State on April 4, 2007.
Rev. Obegha Julius Oworibo is an ordained reverend of Logos Ministry Inc. He was ordained into the office of a Reverend on September 28, 2008. He is the District Pastor of Logos Ministry, Inc.
